1. I imagine the rhetorical situation being that the author of the article is not persuasvie. The main purpose is to point the fact that the article did not persuade the readers. The aduience is college students because of the way he was writing and the where he published the article.
2. I recognize pursuasive essay genre. I have written in this genre once before in high school about how the divorce process should be longer, and the marriage process should be more rigorous. I
3. The author could have used a documnetary. The advantages of a documentray is that it would be entertaining. A disadvantage is that they are biased and they might not present the other side of the argument at all.
4. Another genre to communicate his purposes to a different audience would be a Pamphlet to people at a business office. Since business people are busy that would just need the general information of why they should not vote for Hillary. The author would have to write with more sophistocated words, but chop out all the unnessecary details.
5. I think a teacher would use a persuasive essay. However, I think a Social worker would just say what they think, and a scientist would use examples or charts on why they should not vote for Hillary.
