Exercise 7j

This paper does not resemble a normal research paper. According to the layout and design it resembles more of a newspaper/ editorial to me. With the huge captions and pictures it catpures the audiences attention. The way the design is with the pictures it influences the audience to read what is the most interesting to them first because you can tell what the paragraph is going to be about since there is a bold title right above it. The pictures keep you interested because it goes along with what the author is talking about in that part of the paper. This paper influenced me in a way that I wanted to keep reading it because it was not boring like most research papers are, where there are no pictures and the titles blend in with the rest of the paper.
The paper would be a lot less interesting if it was re-formatted to look like a typical college research paper. I probably would not have wanted to read it at all if the layout changed because even though you are not supposed to judge a book by its cover, most people do.
